Volunteers are an integral part of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. These project stakeholders are comprised of donors, government and community leaders, corporations, arts groups and patrons, industry peers and experts, and finally families and individuals who have come together to preserve and promote the institution’s mission.
Efforts begin with the vibrant and powerful leadership of the Board of Directors, the Circle and Events Ensemble.
The institution’s friend-raising arm, the Circle is a high-level committee comprised of over 100 beloved, regional leaders. All members are presented to and approved by the Board of Directors. The Circle draws upon the wisdom, creativity and pure will of these volunteers to lead community engagement efforts throughout Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole and Volusia counties. Closer to opening, the Circle will also help to build programming councils, which will provide essential feedback and direction on activities in and outside of the building.
This committee represents the very best of the best in the event planning industry and helps to support the Dr. Phillips Center in producing events from small receptions to the large scale grand opening. Approximately 50 volunteers who have a high level of expertise in event creation, design, planning, promotion and execution have been selected to serve.
In addition to the above mentioned opportunities, the Center depends on the active participation of all of its stakeholders to ensure the mission is captured in every aspect of its operations. As the Dr. Phillips Center nears grand opening, further opportunities to volunteer will be eminent. Click here to learn more.
