Orlando -- Harvey and Carol Massey have given $1 million to the Dr. P. Phillips Orlando Performing Arts Center. Their pledge brings to $46.5 million the amount raised so far to pay for the proposed performing-arts center.

The gift was announced New Year's Eve at the Grand Masque ball, the annual joint fundraiser for various city arts groups.
