A ladies' lounge in the new Dr. P. Phillips Orlando Performing Arts Center (DPAC) will be named for philanthropist Harriett Lake.
The first-floor room will be called Harriett's Ladies Lounge. Lake has donated $1 million to the arts-center project.
Here's a quote from DPAC chairman Jim Pugh:
This lounge will reflect Harriett's unique personality. She obviously has a clear sense of the priorities of the patrons who will utilize the facility.
Previously announced named gifts include the Dr. P. Phillips Orlando Performing Arts Center building with a $25 million gift from Dr. Phillips Charities, the Bill and Mary Darden Box Office with a $1 million gift from Darden Restaurants, the Richard Kessler Hospitality Suite from a $1 million gift from Richard Kessler, The Peter Family Stage, the proscenium stage named with a $1 million gift from Annette Neel and The Lynn and Chuck Steinmetz Stage, with a $1 million gift from Lynn and Chuck Steinmetz.
