ORLANDO, Fla…The Orlando Performing Arts Center (OPAC), a nonprofit corporation, recently received five responses to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a developer with experience, capabilities and financial strengths in building similar projects. The developer chosen will partner with OPAC to oversee the construction of a multi-faceted performing arts complex, educational facilities, public plaza, parking structures, and potential commercial expansion. In total, more than one-million-square-feet of space may be developed.
"I feel very positive about the response we received from the RFQ," stated OPAC President and Chairman Jim Pugh. "I look forward to reviewing all of the information and working with the OPAC board to select a developer that supports our mission and vision."
RFQ submittals were received from Carter of Atlanta, Georgia; Clear Channel Entertainment of New York, New York; Hines International of Houston, Texas; KUD International of New York, New York; and Trammell Crow Company of Orlando, Florida.
The Orlando Performing Arts Center, a 501(C)3 nonprofit corporation, is responsible for determining the feasibility of the arts center complex.
