

ORLANDO, FLA - The Dr. P. Phillips Orlando Performing Arts Center (DPAC) announces a $625,000.00 gift from brothers Harvey and Philip Kobrin, and their respective wives Nancye and Andrea, to the new performing arts center on behalf of their parents Jack and Sara Kobrin.
“We express our sincerest gratitude to Harvey and Philip who have shown an amazing commitment to the arts center,” said Jim Pugh, chairman of the DPAC board of directors. “The gift is a true testament to the pride and legacy in this community.”
The Kobrin Family has been part of the Central Florida for over 60 years, being residents of Orlando since the mid 1950's and their grandparents settling in Maitland in the early 1940's. The family is founders of Kobrin Builders Supply, largest independent Gypsum dealer in the State of Florida. Harvey is currently president. He and wife Nancye have a combined family of eight children and 19 grandchildren. Philip is a new member of the DPAC Board of Directors and has two sons Randy and Todd and three grandchildren.
DPAC’s goal is to raise $135 million from private contributions for the development of the performing arts center. This gift brings the total amount of charitable contributions raised to $84 million.
The Dr. P. Phillips Orlando Performing Arts Center (DPAC), a 501(c) 3 nonprofit corporation, is responsible to design, build and operate a performing arts center in Orlando.
