Orlando, Fla. – The Dr. P. Phillips Orlando Performing Arts Center (DPAC) announced the selection of the Design Team at a community gathering at the Beardall Senior Center. Selected through a public procurement process was Theatre Projects Consultants for theater planning, Artec Consultants for acoustical design and Donnell Consultants Inc., responsible for theater costing. To round out the initial Design Team, design architect Barton Myers Associates, Inc. and development partner Hines were procured in 2005.
The event provided the opportunity for the community to hear from world-renowned experts in theater architecture, planning, and acoustics, as well as participate in a Q&A session.
“These firms have been involved with some of the greatest halls in the world and what they’ve done with really exceeds the expectations of both the artists and the audiences, said DPAC Chairman Jim Pugh.”
