ORLANDO, FLA – The Dr. P. Phillips Orlando Performing Arts Center (DPAC) announces a $1 million gift from Annette Peter Neel in memory of her parents Doris and Asher Peter.
Neel has been an active contributor and generous patron in Orlando’s culture community for many years. She was chairwoman of the Orlando Junior League’s steering committee who established the Orlando Opera.
“Annette is a true philanthropist,” said Jim Pugh, chairman of the DPAC board of directors. “We hope there are more people like her that believe in this project, this community and its future development.”
DPAC’s goal is to raise $135 million from private contributions for the development of the performing arts center. This gift brings the total amount of charitable contributions raised to over $85 million.
