DPAC Hires Chief Financial Officer; Director of Development

Orlando, Fla., May 5, 2008 -- The Dr. P. Phillips Orlando Performing Arts Center (DPAC) has selected its first director of development and a chief financial officer.

C.J. Davila joins DPAC as director of development. He previously was the director of the annual fund at the California Center for the Arts, the largest multidisciplinary center in San Diego County, Calif. In that role, Davila was responsible for fundraising strategy, stewardship and negotiation of multi-year sponsorship agreements. Davila increased the annual fund by 39 percent during his time at the Center. Prior to pursuing a career in fundraising, Davila worked extensively in sales and marketing and served as a regional sales representative in the custom publishing industry. Davila returned to his home state of Florida to join the DPAC team.

Cecilia Kelly, DPAC’s new chief financial officer, most recently worked for Hard Rock Café International as worldwide controller and senior director of finance of both domestic and international businesses. Her responsibilities included the supervision of all accounting, finance and financial analysis, reporting of financial and business metrics, strategic oversight of capital deployment, marketing analysis, analysis of operational initiatives, and working with senior management and the parent company to develop strategy and measure results. Before that, Kelly worked as a financial consultant at CFO Strategic Partners, where she handled several projects for a variety of clients and acted as chief financial officer for a number of non-profit organizations. She began her career working for eleven years at KPMG.

Kelly has provided leadership on the board of various organizations, serving currently as a board member of the St. James Home and School Association and participating in a number of other youth-oriented organizations.

The Orlando Performing Arts Center Corporation (OPAC) is an independent non-profit 501(c)3 dedicated to develop, build and operate the new performing arts center (the Dr. P. Phillips Orlando Performing Arts Center). OPAC plans to develop a mixed-use urban arts center with educational facilities, a public plaza, parking structures, with retail and commercial expansion.
