Dr. P. Phillips Orlando Performing Arts Center President Wins Women's Achievement Award

Orlando, Fla., October 31, 2008 – Katherine Ramsberger, President of the Dr. P. Phillips Orlando Performing Arts Center, was recently presented a Women’s Achievement Award by The Women's Executive Council. The Women’s Achievement Awards recognize women for their hard work and contributions to the community.

Named in the arts and culture category, Ramsberger received the award in a special presentation during the council’s 38th Annual Awards Luncheon on Oct. 16 at the Citrus Club in downtown Orlando. The luncheon was established to honor women in the region for their contributions in the areas of arts, business, education, community service, government and professions. Honorees include some of the most prominent and influential professionals in the Orlando community.

The Women’s Executive Council is a social and charitable organization composed of women who are executives and business owners in the Orlando metropolitan area. The council was established in 1972 to foster involvement of executive women in the community. Members are actively involved in the development and improvement of the downtown Orlando business district and plan various activities which raise funds to benefit the council’s scholarship endowment fund.
