Richard Kessler, board member and hotelier, named the artist meet and greet room for his $1 million gift to the Dr. P. Phillips Orlando Performing Arts Center. As such, it will be named the Richard Kessler Hospitality Suite.
"I hope this space for hospitality unites friends, brings joy to creative people and is the birthplace for new creations," said Kessler.
Nestled between the two largest halls, this exclusive room will be a space where guests will be led backstage to meet and mingle with famous personalities, artists and celebrities performing at the performing arts center.
“With Richard’s significant support of all types of arts and artists, this room is a perfect space to bear his name and legacy,” said Board Chairman Jim Pugh.
Signage reflecting this naming opportunity will be installed with the construction of the performing arts center. Previously announced named gifts include the Dr. P. Phillips Orlando Performing Arts Center with a $25 million gift from Dr. Phillips Charities, and the Bill and Mary Darden Box Office with a $1 million gift from Darden Restaurants.
