Messiah
By George Frideric Handel with the Orlando Philharmonic OrchestraMessiah
The Orlando Sings Symphonic Chorus presents the glorious majesty of Handel’s Messiah along with musicians from the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and world-class soloists. Featuring the famous “Hallelujah” Chorus, this piece has been called “the greatest single work in the English language” and the most popular choral-orchestral work of all time.
While it is traditionally presented in December, we will present the work in the spring, which was when Handel originally premiered the work in 1742 at the secular New Concert Hall of Dublin Ireland.
