ABOUT THE ARTISTS

From Western North Carolina comes a progressive bluegrass supergroup whose members each boast so much talent, it can’t be contained—it bursts out of every finger-pickin’ note. Masterfully plucking their way through high-energy performances, this quintet displays award-winning songwriting, instrumental virtuosity and shining harmonies to match, echoing the sounds of Appalachia.

With over 18 years of touring and six full length albums to their name, Songs from the Road Band has performed at a slew of bluegrass and blues festivals. Its members include Mark Schimick on mandolin, Charles Humphrey III on bass, Sam Wharton on guitar, James Schlender on fiddle and Gabe Epstein on banjo. Their most recent single "Outside of Omaha" went to number one on the Bluegrass Today Grassicana chart.
