Beast Mode Trio is an international jazz supergroup that redefines modern jazz with its groundbreaking fusion of global rhythms and cultures. Featuring Grammy-winning pianist Tal Cohen from Australia, acclaimed Cuban bassist Gola aka Armando Gola and legendary American drummer jjHOLLYWOOD, aka Jonathan Joseph, the trio blends influences from the Middle East, Africa and Latin America with contemporary jazz. Their unique sound is both innovative and deeply rooted in tradition, creating a captivating musical experience that transcends borders. With each member bringing a wealth of expertise and cultural heritage, Beast Mode Trio offers audiences an unparalleled jazz performance that celebrates the rich diversity of global music.
Beast Mode Trio was born out of a shared vision to create a unique jazz experience that transcends traditional boundaries. Tal Cohen, Gola and Jonathan Joseph first crossed paths while performing at various international jazz festivals, where their mutual respect for each other’s craft sparked the idea of collaborating. What began as casual jam sessions quickly evolved into a powerful musical synergy that laid the foundation for the Trio.
The story of Beast Mode Trio is one of cultural exchange and musical innovation. Each member brings a rich history of musical exploration—Cohen’s Middle Eastern jazz influences, Gola’s Cuban rhythms and Joseph’s African-American funk and jazz expertise. Together, they fuse these distinct traditions into a seamless blend of global jazz, creating a sound that is as diverse as it is captivating. Their combined talent and shared passion for innovation have solidified their place as trailblazers in the modern jazz scene.
