Ranaan Meyer – double bass, vocals

With a bright and plucking verve, Time For Three brings fresh life to string music. Classically-trained yet genre-defying, this trio blends classical, Americana, bluegrass and singer-songwriter styles into a globally-loved sound and charismatic performance. Sharing an infectious energy amongst each other that adds to their improvisational elements, Time For Three continues to push creative boundaries.

Time For Three is comprised of Nicolas “Nick” Kendall on violin and vocals, Charles Yang on violin and vocals and Ranaan Meyer on double bass and vocals. The trio won the 2023 Grammy Award for Best Classical Instrumental Solo, and has collaborated with esteemed composers, orchestras and artists over the years. In 2021, the group partnered with cellist and composer Ben Sollee to create an original score for the film Land, starring and directed by Robin Wright.
