ABOUT THE ARTIST

With his distinctive guitar style, wry on-stage humor and warm voice, Tom Rush is your favorite folk singer’s favorite folk singer. Credited with ushering in the era of the singer-songwriter, Tom’s impact on American music is as profound as his songwriting, compositions and clever reinterpretations of classics. Hear him as he’s joined by accomplished pianist and folk singer-songwriter Matt Nakoa.

Having helped shape the folk revival in the ’60s and the renaissance of the ’80s and ’90s, Tom’s music has left its stamp on generations of artists. His history of championing emerging musicians and uncanny ability to discover new material from his peers positioned Tom as a mainstay in American folk music. His career saw a boost in 2007 when a video of Tom performing “Remember?” became a viral hit with over 7 million views. Today, he continues to tour and write new material.
