ABOUT THE ARTISTS
In 2024 Will Johns is touring in support of his fourth and latest album Yin & Yang. A well-respected songwriter and magnetic performer, Will has released three previous albums and been nominated for ‘Best Original Blues Song’ by the British Blues Awards for three consecutive years.
Will Johns grew up in a renowned music family. He is the son of producer Andy Johns (Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin) and Paula Boyd and the nephew of celebrated recording engineer Glyn Johns (The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton). Will's aunt Pattie Boyd was famously married to both George Harrison and Eric Clapton inspiring some of their best-known hits.
Will started playing the guitar as a teenager, with plenty of encouragement from Uncle Eric. Like any creative artist though, it wasn’t long before Johns’ own inventiveness kicked-in and he soon developed his own distinctive sound that is both cutting-edge and steeped in blues history.
Will has performed alongside music luminaries including his uncle Eric Clapton, Ronnie Wood (Rolling Stones), Nile Rodgers (Chic), Jack Bruce (Cream), Glenn Hughes, Dennis Chambers and Terry Reid just to name a few. With his own Blues Daddy show he has played European festivals, sold out club dates and in 2023 performed in Florida. As a member of the legacy shows The Music of Cream and The Cream of Clapton he has toured the USA, Canada and Europe.
