Student Spotlight:

Student Spotlight: Leonardo Robles

He played Bill in Schoolhouse Rock Live! last winter, then tackled multiple roles in Les Misérables this summer. So naturally, Leonardo Robles is gearing up for this fall’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame—one of two new youth theater productions at our AdventHealth School of the Arts.

The ambitious 16-year-old has consistently stayed involved—taking five classes with us since the summer of 2019—even coming to catch a jazzy show by Postmodern Jukebox in Walt Disney Theater.

“The performing arts have opened so many doors and opportunities for me,” Leonardo said. “It’s really helped me come out of my comfort zone when it comes to life at school.”

He added: “At home, it made me realize that I have a very strong and stable support system behind me. I believe that the opportunities I have been shown will help me through my acting career and beyond in life.”

While professional development is a major plus, Leonardo has his share of fun here, too.

“My favorite experience is going onstage and having the audience applaud for me—and making friends who share the same interests as me,” he said.
