Student Spotlights: Ana Tew & Diego Cintron-Riveria

Ana Tew Diego Cintron Riveria Dr. Phillips Center student AdventHealth School of the Arts

Ana Tew
Telling a story—that’s Ana’s favorite part of taking Dr. Phillips Center classes at our AdventHealth School of the Arts. She signed up for homeschool classes after acting in our Schoolhouse Rock Live! student production last fall.

“It’s amazing to see the audience’s faces during a performance,” she said. “Especially the children. You can feel their excitement.”

On top of performing, Ana loves our master classes with Broadway pros, where she can hear their real-life experiences.

“The instructors are encouraging and hands-on, plus I made amazing friends during the show.”

Up next for Ana? “I love to sing, and I want to make my voice even stronger.”

Diego Cintron-Riveria
As one of our Teen Ambassadors, Diego enjoys all kinds of unique opportunities through our pre-professional performance group.

“I have learned theater mechanics, met Broadway professionals and even volunteered during a show,” he said.

He’s also gotten to see several shows here at Dr. Phillips Center—including Aladdin, Come From Away and our Applause Awards ceremony.

On top of that, Diego was accepted at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where he plans to study dance and acting to pursue his passion for the performing arts.
