Dr. Phillips Center Update:
• $1.8 million in private donations raised in first quarter 2018 • Dr. Phillips Center pulls within 2% of total capital campaign goal • Steinmetz Hall beginning to take shape at Dr. Phillips Center
The Dr. Phillips Center raised $1.8 million in private donations in the first quarter of 2018 and pulled within two percent of its capital campaign goal. The funds raised are earmarked for the completion of Steinmetz Hall, an 1,700-seat, acoustically perfect performance hall rising along South Street in downtown Orlando. After more than 12 months of laying the intricately designed foundation, the hall is now above ground and beginning to take shape as crews are erecting its stage and theater walls. Steinmetz Hall and The Green Room, a more intimate performance venue adjacent to the new hall, are on time and on budget to open in spring 2020.
