Know Before You Go

For more than twenty years, Bill Maher has set the boundaries of where funny, political talk can go on American television. First on “Politically Incorrect” (Comedy Central, ABC, 1993–2002), and for the last fourteen years on HBO’s “Real Time,” Maher’s combination of unflinching honesty and big laughs have garnered him 38 Emmy nominations. Maher won his first Emmy in 2014 as executive producer for the HBO series, “VICE.” In October of 2008, this same combination was on display in Maher’s uproarious and unprecedented swipe at organized religion, “Religulous,” directed by Larry Charles (“Borat”). The documentary has gone on to become the 8th Highest Grossing Documentary ever.

The YOUTUBE Phenomenon, filling up entire soccer stadiums in Brazil to watch his shows. A complete new show, with jokes that maintains the artist's observant and comic care. He will not fail to tell stories from his childhood, but now he tells those that nobody knows, those stored in the bottom of the chest, to leave everyone with a belly aching from laughter.

He tells funny and routine situations before and after fame. Whindersson talks about movies, hit songs and not counting on the lighting of the show that is fantastic!

Why “Proparoxítona”?  This is a word that Whindersson has found to refer to something grand, something very, very cool. So he says that such a thing or situation is ‘’proparoxítona''. This has become virtually an identity and has marked his fans who came to express themselves in this way when the videos and publications of the artist are very good.
Whindersson started making videos and put on your Youtube channel at 15 years of age. His hope was to get only a few tanned, but what happened was an avalanche of views and the success was so much that he did not stop. In a short time the artist became an undeniable personality of the internet and went to the stage with a stand uo comedy as phenomenal as his rise. The channel currently has hundreds of videos and diverse content that includes blogs, parodies, author songs and movie reviews.

He is 22 years old and considered the second largest digital influencer in the world and has the largest YOUTUBE channel in Brazil. Nowadays it counts on millions of followers in its social networks, that certainly would fill to fill several stages of the Maracanã. Known for its simplicity and dedication to what it does, it is considered an example to hundreds of thousands of fans.

Know Before You Go

In April of 2015, singer/songwriter/actress Sabrina Carpenter, unveiled her debut album, Eyes Wide Open. Fueled by youthful exuberance and irresistibly buoyant singles such as “Eyes Wide Open” and “We’ll Be the Stars,” the album reflected Carpenter’s life over the previous three years, during which she rose to fame playing rebellious Maya Hart on the Disney Channel hit series Girl Meets World.

The gestation period for Carpenter’s sophomore album, EVOLution, out Oct. 14, was shorter, but clearly encompassed even more growth. “I’m living in an adult world,” notes Carpenter, who’s 18 now. “I’m very lucky to do what I love, but it does come along with roller coasters of emotion. Thank goodness that artists take inspiration from emotion, because it allowed me to put all feelings and all these stories into the songs I’ve made.”

Know Before You Go

Paramore was formed in Nashville in 2003, while all three members attended junior high school. The young band’s angsty songs went against the traditional country culture of their home town. Since then, Paramore has grown up inside the brutal beast of the music industry, surviving media storms, industry sexism, and soap-opera worthy drama for nearly 15 years.

Still calling Nashville their home, the band mates spend most their days and nights sitting on the porch together laughing or crying... reminiscing, daydreaming, or trying desperately to just stay present. The band recently wrote and recorded their 5th album in Nashville, titled After Laughter, which dropped May 12th. Listen to 'Told You So' and 'Hard Times' - out everywhere now.

Both Mark Kozelek & Desertshore and Perils From The Sea made Mojo's top 100 best albums of the year. In 2012, Mark Kozelek released an 18 track album under his Sun Kil Moon moniker, entitled Among The Leaves. Mark toured solo in support of the album and made his debit TV appearance on Fallon performing with The Roots.

In August of 2011, the film Mark Kozelek: On Tour was released via Caldo Verde Records. The film follows Mark on two different tours in support of the Sun Kil Moon release, Admiral Fell Promises, released in 2010. The album was played entirely by Mark Kozelek on nylon string guitar and includes 10 original songs. A limited EP entitled I’ll Be There coincided with the release. The 4 song EP includes 1 out-take and 3 covers, including the Jackson's "I’ll Be There." On November 22, 2011, Desertshore’s second album was released. This 14 song "best of" collection features Red House Painters classic "Katy Song" as well as several picks from the Sun Kil Moon catalog including "Carry Me Ohio," "Lucky Man," and "Lost Verses."

A 13 song live CD entitled Mark Kozelek: Live in Spain was released simultaneously as a free bonus CD.

Mark Kozelek’s third album with Sun Kil Moon, April, was released through Caldo Verde on April 1, 2008.

A hardback edition of Nights of Passed Over, a collection of Mark's lyrics originally published in a limited edition in Portugal in 2002, was also released in 2008. The book includes a preface by Mark and a 12-song rarities CD entitled Nights LP. The book is out of print.

In December of 2008, Mark released The Finally LP, a rarities collection featuring covers of Husker Du, Stephen Sondheim, Kath Bloom, Low, and others.

Mark scored original music for the films Farewell Bender, Last Ball, and Lorena Ochoa: el Camino a la Cima.

In 2005, Mark started his own label, Caldo Verde Records. Releases other than his own include Alan Sparhawk of Low’s self-titled Retribution Gospel Choir debut album, for which Mark worked as producer. Caldo Verde has also released albums by Jesu, Kath Bloom, and Advance Base.

Between 1992 and 1999 Mark released six full length studio albums with Red House Painters.

Little Drummer Boy – Live, released on November 28, 2006, contains live recordings from various shows in Europe and North America. The double CD covers a broad range of Mark Kozelek material, including Red House Painters, Sun Kil Moon  and personalized covers of Modest Mouse, The Cars and AC/DC.

In 2007, Drummer Boy was released on vinyl as White Christmas & Little Drummer Boy Live as a  4 LP set. The album was coupled with Mark’s 2001 release White Christmas Live, recorded in Scandinavia.

On January 23, 2007, Caldo Verde Records re-released the first Sun Kil Moon album Ghosts of the Great Highway with reworked packaging and a six song bonus CD featuring two versions of Leonard Bernstein’s "Somewhere," alternate versions of "Carry Me Ohio" and "Salvador Sanchez," a radio performance of "Gentle Moon" recorded in Portugal and the previously unreleased instrumental, "Arrival," recorded for the movie The Girl Next Door. Originally released on November 3, 2003, Ghosts of the Great Highway received superlative reviews, moved quickly to the #1 on college radio and has become one of singer-songwriter Mark Kozelek’s most loved and best-selling albums of his 14 year career.

Ghosts tracks "Carry Me Ohio" and "Lily and Parrots" were featured in the Steve Martin film Shopgirl, in which Mark plays the role of a lead singer in a fictitious rock band. Mark also contributed several tracks to several compilations. His version of Will Oldham’s "New Partner" is included on a CD entitled I Am A Cold Rock, I Am Dull Grass. “The Cosmic Perspective”
There is no view of the world as emotionally potent as the one granted by a cosmic perspective. It’s one that sees Earth as a planet in a vast empty universe. It profoundly influences what we think and feel about science, culture, politics, and life itself.

Neil deGrasse Tyson was born and raised in New York City where he was educated in the public schools clear through his graduation from the Bronx High School of Science. Tyson went on to earn his BA in Physics from Harvard and his PhD in Astrophysics from Columbia. In both 2001 and 2004, Tyson was appointed by President Bush to serve on space exploration commissions, culminating in his 2006 appointment to NASA's Advisory Council.

Among Tyson's various books is his memoir The Sky is Not the Limit: Adventures of an Urban Astrophysicist; and Origins: Fourteen Billion Years of Cosmic Evolution, co-written with Donald Goldsmith. Origins is the companion book to the PBS-NOVA 4-part mini-series "Origins", in which Tyson served as on-camera host. He has since hosted PBS-NOVA's spinoff program "NOVA ScienceNOW." During the summer of 2009 Tyson identified a stable of professional standup comedians to assist his effort in bringing science to commercial radio with the NSF-funded pilot program StarTalk. Now also a popular Podcast, and a limited-run Television Series on the National Geographic Channel, StarTalk combines celebrity guests with informative yet playful banter.

Tyson is the recipient of nineteen honorary doctorates and the NASA Distinguished Public Service Medal, the highest award given by NASA to a non-government citizen. On the lighter side, Tyson was voted Sexiest Astrophysicist Alive by People Magazine in 2000. Recently Tyson served as Executive Editor and on camera Host & Narrator for "Cosmos: A SpaceTime Odyssey", the 21st century reboot of Carl Sagan's landmark television series. Tyson is the fifth head of the world-renowned Hayden Planetarium in New York City and the first occupant of its Frederick P. Rose Directorship. He is also a research associate of the Department of Astrophysics at the American Museum of Natural History.

Know Before You Go

This story of boundless love, full of passion and drama, follows Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera, one of the most successful musicals of all time, which has now been seen by more than 130 million people worldwide and is the winner of over 50 international awards.

The ultimate love story continues in Love Never Dies, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s spellbinding sequel to The Phantom of the Opera.

The year is 1907. It is 10 years after his disappearance from the Paris Opera House and the Phantom has escaped to a new life in New York where he lives amongst the screaming joy rides and freak shows of Coney Island. In this new, electrically charged world, he has finally found a place for his music to soar, but he has never stopped yearning for his one true love and musical protégée, Christine Daaé.

Now one of the world’s finest sopranos, Christine accepts an invitation to travel from Paris to New York to perform at a renowned opera house. Christine's marriage to Raoul is suffering at the hands of his drinking and gambling and they desperately need the financial rewards that America can give them.

In a final bid to win back Christine’s love, the Phantom lures her, Raoul, and their young son Gustave, from Manhattan to the glittering and glorious world of Coney Island… not knowing what is in store for them….Love Never Dies is a dazzling new production, which takes audiences on a thrilling rollercoaster ride of intrigue, obsession and romance. Be seduced by the beautiful; sometimes magical and poetic; sometimes joyful; and occasionally melancholic score. She’ll be joined by fellow vocalist Kenny Washington, from New Orleans. Enjoyed by audiences of all ages, these uplifting holiday performances create lasting memories that will keep you feeling good throughout the season.

The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis (JLCO) comprises 15 of the finest jazz soloists and ensemble players today. "THE WOMEN OF WAITRESS ARE CHANGING BROADWAY!" (Time Magazine).

Brought to life by a groundbreaking all-female creative team, this irresistible new hit features original music and lyrics by 5-time Grammy® nominee Sara Bareilles ("Brave," "Love Song"), a book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson (I Am Sam) and direction by Tony Award® winner Diane Paulus (Pippin, Finding Neverland). But Jenna must summon the strength and courage to rebuild her own life.

"WAITRESS is a little slice of heaven!" says Entertainment Weekly and "a monumental contribution to Broadway!" according to Marie Claire. Don't miss this uplifting musical celebrating friendship, motherhood, and the magic of a well-made pie.

Know Before You Go

In 1996, an original rock musical by a little-known composer opened on Broadway… and forever changed the landscape of American theatre. Two decades later, Jonathan Larson’s RENT continues to speak loudly and defiantly to audiences across generations and all over the world. And now, this Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award®-winning masterpiece returns to the stage in a vibrant 20th anniversary touring production. A re-imagining of Puccini's La Bohème, RENT follows an unforgettable year in the lives of seven artists struggling to follow their dreams without selling out. With its inspiring message of joy and hope in the face of fear, this timeless celebration of friendship and creativity reminds us to measure our lives with the only thing that truly matters—love.
