Direct from New York City. Zora Neale Hurston: A Theatrical Biography is a revival of the award-winning New York production of the Laurence Holder play. Elizabeth Van Dyke stars as Zora Neale Hurston with Joseph Lewis Edwards as the men in her life. The production is directed by Woodie King Jr., recipient of numerous awards including an AUDELCO award, an Obie and an NAACP Image award. This benefit performance for the Zora Neale Hurston Festival of the Arts and Humanities (ZORA! Festival), is presented in Orlando by the New Federal Theatre, after a highly successful run in New York City, celebrating Hurston's 125th birthday. The annual festival, now in its 28th year, is produced by the Association to Preserve the Eatonville Community Inc.
