On a stage that can barely contain his larger-than-life persona, MTV’s Steve-O reflects on his most ill-advised stunts and adrenaline-hungry antics for an up-close (and excruciatingly personal) stand-up comedy event. The intimate Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater didn’t see this one coming…

Steve-O is best known for his wildly dangerous, foolish, painful, embarrassing and sometimes death-defying stunts. Having built a gargantuan and loyal social media following while establishing a successful stand-up career (all after a couple of decades of terrible decisions), Steve-O is proof that anyone can find meaning and fulfillment in life, no matter what path they choose.

Steve-O (a.k.a. Stephen Glover) was willing to do whatever it took to become famous, even if it meant walking a tightrope over an alligator den - wearing only a helmet and a jockstrap. After failing miserably at the University of Miami and couch-surfing with friends, he decided that in order to further his goal of becoming a stuntman he would enroll in Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College. But it was his relentless attention seeking that ultimately led to working with Johnny Knoxville on a new stunt-based reality show called Jackass. In 2000, MTV aired the first season and the rest, as they say, is history.

Since then, Steve-O has enjoyed continued success, as a New York Times bestselling author with the release of his memoir, as well as establishing himself in the world of stand-up comedy. He regularly produces content for his YouTube channel which racks up millions of views, and his Wild Ride with Steve-O podcast has proven to be a fan favorite with guests like Post Malone, Demi Lovato, Shaq, Tom Delonge from Blink 182 and more.
