UCF New Music Ensemble presents Plot/Twist

April 9, 2024 | Steinmetz Hall | 7:30 p.m.

The UCF New Music Ensemble welcomes nationally acclaimed improv comedians Rick Andrews and Louis Kornfeld (“Refined… Effortless… Almost mystical.” - The New York Times) for an evening of world premiere music and amazing improvised drama. The rules are simple: hear a piece of music, then create a scene on the spot. What’s going to happen? We don’t know! But we’re certain it’s going to be wild, unpredictable, and very, very funny. Have you ever heard a piece of music and built a story in your head while listening? Have you ever listened to a song as if it was the score to a film that didn’t exist? If so, PLOT/TWIST is an event you won’t want to miss.

One of Central Florida’s favorite new traditions celebrates ten years! UCF Celebrates the Arts is an immersive and dynamic cultural extravaganza that fuses creativity, innovation and community engagement. This annual festival showcases the artistic prowess of UCF’s faculty and students and invites the broader community to enjoy performances, exhibitions, presentations and interactive experiences. With a focus on accessibility, partnership and diverse offerings, UCF Celebrates the Arts is a unique opportunity for the community to experience the creative side of UCF’s innovative spirit. Events will be held April 3-14 at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Learn more at arts.cah.ucf.edu/celebrates.
