Teen Ambassadors

This immersive program offers unique exposure to a variety of opportunities that exist beyond the stage.

Overview

Dr. Phillips Center Teen Ambassadors play a major part in our arts education programming. They lead the way through their involvement in events like performances, professional workshops, and community experiences—developing leadership, writing and communication skills along the way. They learn about non-performance entertainment industry careers, nonprofit business activities, and work to develop, implement and engage in ideas with industry leading professionals.

Our Teen Ambassadors are exceptional leaders in their schools and communities, ranging from 9th to 12th grade, and most of them serving in some type of leadership capacity in their thespian troupes and other various student organizations. They are a diverse group of technicians, creatives, and performers, all sharing a love for the performing arts.

How to Apply

In order for a student to become a Teen Ambassador there will be an online application submission followed by an in-person interview. Before applying for the program please note the following program requirements:

• Must be a high school student in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake, Polk, Volusia, Brevard County, or Homeschooled as of August 2024.
  

• Must currently have and maintain a B average 3.0 (unweighted).
  

• Must have access to a computer and at least one social media account (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, etc.).
  

• Must be able to complete 5 volunteer hours at the Dr. Phillips Center during the program year.
  

• Must respond to any program-related emails within a designated time frame (24 hours).
  

• Must be able to attend 1 meeting a month from September to April.
  
  

All 24-25 Teen Ambassador application submissions are due by Friday September 6th at 5pm.
