Accessibility Concierge

For most shows, a Guest Services representative is present in Della Phillips Grand Lobby to greet guests with accessibility needs and ensure appropriate accommodations are provided before they enter any theater. Since 2019, Dr. Phillips Center has worked with The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to be designated as a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC). Our colleagues have completed training and certification in best practices when assisting individuals with autism.

Accessible Parking

This is available in City Commons Parking Garage and 77 E. Jackson Street Garage. Pre-paid accessible valet parking is also available for some shows when buying a ticket online, in person or over the phone at the Bill & Mary Darden Box Office: 407.358.6603 option 1.

Accessible Restrooms

Accessible stalls are available in each bathroom and family restrooms located on each side of the lobby on every tier.

Accessible Seating

When choosing tickets, guests may purchase up to three companion seats for each wheelchair accessible seat.  For guests who did not specify their needs at the time of ticket purchase, please visit the nearest usher.

AdventHealth School of the Arts at Dr. Phillips Center

Here, anyone from the age of two to 102 can enjoy a range of performing arts classes, summer camps, workshops, masterclasses, ensembles, pre-professional productions and more.

Alcohol Policy

Dr. Phillips Center and our vendors invite guests 21+ to responsibly enjoy our alcoholic drinks. Guests are 
expected to obey all federal, state and local laws governing the purchase, possession and consumption of alcohol. A maximum of two alcoholic drinks may be sold to each guest (21+) per purchase. Proper identification (state- or federal-issued photo ID with date of birth) is required for all guests appearing under the age of 21. With the exception of Judson’s Live, bars will stop serving alcohol after the intermission of a show, or 30 minutes before the scheduled end time of the performance.

Guests are not allowed to take drinks outside of the arts center. For outdoor events, drinks are not allowed outside event boundaries. Dr. Phillips Center reserves the right to refuse service to any guest exhibiting signs of alcohol intoxication or who appear under the age of 21 without proper identification. Guests who appear intoxicated may be refused entry into Dr. Phillips Center. Any guests who are visibly intoxicated, under the influence of illegal substances, or consuming alcohol while underage, or causing a disturbance during an event will be escorted from the premises.

Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater

This multi-level, multi-purpose theater has 294 seats. It’s often used by regional arts groups, or rented for private events from cabarets and cocktail parties to banquets and wedding receptions.

Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater Ceiling Art

New York City artist Tom McGrath created 32 custom pieces of abstract art to adorn the ceiling. The panels were hand-painted, screened, sprayed, spattered and brushed on Barrisol, a French architectural polymer used mostly for ceilings resembling skylights.

American Sign Language (ASL) Interpretation

This is scheduled for select shows, including the first Saturday matinee performance of every Broadway show. Guests may schedule sign language interpretation for free by submitting a request at least two weeks before the show. 407.992.1754 | accessible@drphillipscenter.org 

Animal Policy

Animals are prohibited except for ADA-defined service animals. In the theaters, service animals must sit under the guest’s seat, at his or her feet or on their lap (if required to perform their specific duty). Service animals are not allowed in the aisles or directly on seats and must remain in control by the guest in need of their service.

To make a reservation for a service animal, please notify the Bill & Mary Darden Box Office at the time of ticket purchase so we can inform our team and production team. A ticket is not required for the service animal. 407.358.6603 option 1.

Applause Awards

Supported by AdventHealth and other generous supporters, this education program celebrates excellence in high school musical theatre. Shows, students and educators receive awards in specific categories, with one female and one male lead chosen to represent Central Florida and Dr. Phillips Center at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (the Jimmy Awards) in New York City. The annual Applause Awards ceremony is held each May at the arts center. drphillipscenter.org/applauseawards 

Arrival Time

We recommend arriving early to enjoy the arts center and our food and beverage offerings. Della Phillips Grand Lobby doors open 1.5 hours before shows in Walt Disney Theater and Steinmetz Hall, or 1 hour before shows in Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater. At Judson’s Live, opening and seating times vary. A suggested arrival time can be found on our website on the show page, as well as in the Know Before You Go email or the guest’s digital tickets.

artsLife

This is a free quarterly magazine that highlights events, programs and community impact at Dr. Phillips Center. It includes features on upcoming shows, a show calendar, interviews and more. It’s available at the concierge desk or outside theater doors, and is passed out by ushers before select shows. drphillipscenter.org/artslife

Assistive Listening Devices (ALD) & ListenWiFi App

Guests in need of sound amplification have two options to choose from while visiting the arts center. Free assistive listening devices are available on a first-come-first-served basis for most performances and provided upon request at the concierge desk. To receive an Assistive Listening Device, guests will exchange their driver’s license or state-issued ID and then return the unit to the concierge desk to reclaim their ID. Headphones and neck loops are available for telecoil-equipped hearing aids and cochlear implants.

A new option this season is by downloading the ListenWifi app. The concierge desk can provide a QR code to the app. Guests should connect their device to the WiFi SSID "Assisted Guest Services" with the password "DPCAssisted1." Once connected to that network, the guest can open the app, view and select from a list of all assisted listening channels and audio description channels. 407.992.1754 | accessible@drphillipscenter.org

ATM

These are unavailable at Dr. Phillips Center. The closest is in the Grand Bohemian Hotel across the 
street at 325 South Orange Avenue.

Audio Description & ListenWifi App

Audio description services are scheduled for select events, including the first Saturday and Sunday matinee performances of Broadway shows (full week runs only). Guests looking to utilize this service should be directed to the concierge desk where they can either obtain a device to access the service or receive instructions and QR code to download the ListenWifi app. Headphones are also available for check-out from concierge. Guests requiring audio description or sign language interpretation should submit a request at least two weeks before the show by emailing accessible@drphillipscenter.org.

To use the ListenWifi app, the guest should connect their personal device to the WiFi SSID "Assisted Guest Services" with the password "DPCAssisted1." Once connected to that network, the guest can open the app, view and select from a list of all assisted listening channels and audio description channels.

Awards & Recognition

The arts center was recognized in Travel + Leisure’s Orlando Travel Guide and Time’s “World’s Coolest New Tourist Attractions.” Architectural Digest named Steinmetz Hall one of the “11 most beautiful theaters in the world,” and National Geographic named it one of the world’s most “esteemed theaters” to visit. DownBeat Magazine named Judson's Live one of the world’s top jazz venues. Pollstar and Billboard named Walt Disney Theater a top theater for ticket sales and capacity. The arts center was also awarded the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) Excellence in Management & Operations, as well as the Silver American Business Stevie Award for Company of the Year and several years of Customer Service Department of the Year recognitions. The arts center has also been recognized as a Certified Autism Center since 2019.

Backstage/Back of House

This area is for production personnel only. At no time and under no circumstances are guests allowed backstage. Backstage access must be granted in advance and always accompanied by a Dr. Phillips Center colleague.

Bag Policy

Security reserves the right to inspect all bags as guests enter the arts center. For a list of prohibited items, see the Prohibited Items section.

Booster Seats

These are available at the concierge desk on a first-come first-served basis for any performance and are provided upon request at the concierge desk. Guests must exchange their driver’s license or state-issued ID for a seat and then return the booster seat to reclaim their ID.

Current daily hours of the box office or to reach a box office representative by phone are listed on our website. It’s closed on major holidays, including Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Unless otherwise noted, the box office opens two hours before every performance.

Box Office Policy

All sales are final. We are unable to offer refunds or exchanges. All requests to modify an existing ticket 
purchase must be submitted by the original ticket purchaser (i.e., the person whose name is on the ticket account). No change to an account without the owner’s permission will be authorized. To modify someone else’s account, a guest must have the owner submit the requested change in writing, signed with a copy of their photo ID.

Broadway

The Broadway touring season in Walt Disney Theater runs each fall through spring. Our current and upcoming lineup can be found on our website. drphillipscenter.org/broadway

Buses

Lynx and Lymmo stops are on South Street and Anderson Street, on the corner of Church Street, Orange Avenue and Magnolia Avenue.

Bus Drop-Off & Pickup for Groups

Group leaders should contact our group sales department to arrange bus drop-off and pickup on Anderson Street or Magnolia Avenue, or off-site parking options. 407.455.5550 | groups@drphillipscenter.org

Bus Parking for Schools

Cell Phone Policy

Cell phone usage during a show is not allowed unless the guest is using their cell phone for ListenWifi audio assistance. The sound and light from phone displays are distracting to performers and guests. Ushers may ask guests to put away their phones during a show. Continuous use of a phone may result in the guest being removed.

Changing Tables

These are available in all family restrooms on every tier, as well as in the men’s and women’s restrooms by the South Grand Lobby Bar.

Children

Performances may be age-restricted or have recommended minimum ages. When applicable, these changes will be listed on the event page of our website. Unless otherwise noted, children under the age of two are not permitted inside the theaters. All guests entering the theater—including infants and children, if allowed—require a ticket. Strollers are not allowed in the theaters. A guest services colleague can store the stroller at the closest location to the guest's theater door.

Chimes

An audible signal indicates ten, five and two minutes until the start of a show or subsequent acts.

City Commons Parking Garage

At 460 Boone Avenue, this garage has thousands of spaces, three entrances and two exits—convenient for I-4 and FL-408. Guests can go online or call the Bill & Mary Darden Box Office to add parking to their ticket order. 407.358.6603 option 1

Community Givebacks

Presented in partnership with generous sponsors, these outreach efforts are a vital component of Arts For Every Life®, helping us to connect and share meaningful experiences with kids and community members who may not have the chance to do so otherwise. Dr. Phillips Center community givebacks have treated thousands of people from all backgrounds, age ranges and economic statuses to an experience of a lifetime to see a show– complete with free charter bus transportation, a catered meal, interactive pre-show experience and a swag bag.

Deliveries

Most deliveries must be received through security at 155 East Anderson Street. Large deliveries may use the loading dock at 470 South Rosalind Avenue.

Della Phillips Grand Lobby

This encompasses tier 1 and was named by Dr. Phillips Charities for Della Phillips, the wife of Dr. Philip Phillips. Della was known for her love of the arts and often held public concerts on the front lawn of her family’s downtown Orlando home.

DeVos Family Room

This tier 3 event space stretches out over South Magnolia Avenue. Three sides of floor-to-ceiling windows and expansive sliding glass doors offer views of downtown Orlando’s skyline. It was named for a gift given for the family of Richard and Helen DeVos.

Digital Wallet/True Tickets

Digital tickets for all shows are available when guests log into their Dr. Phillips Center Wallet using the same email and password they used to purchase their tickets. A ticket’s QR code activates 1-3 hours before show 
time, based on when doors open. The QR code refreshes every 30 seconds to prevent fraudulent ticket sales. wallet.drphillipscenter.org

Donation Requests

Dr. Phillips Center is able to grant a limited number of donation requests for silent auctions each year. We support charity organizations specifically benefiting the arts, youth education and/or wellness. Organizations must provide services within Orange, Lake, Seminole, Osceola, Brevard, Volusia or Polk counties. Donations are made to federally licensed 501(c)(3) nonprofit, charitable agencies. Donors’ Room

This tier 2 space is for donors to enjoy before most shows and during intermission, or as scheduled.

Doors 

Della Phillips Grand Lobby doors open 1.5 hours before shows in Walt Disney Theater and Steinmetz Hall, and theater doors open 30 minutes before the show. Lobby doors open 1 hour before shows in Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater and theater doors open 30 minutes before the show. Judson’s Live door opening times vary. Refer to our website, Know Before You Go email or True Tickets app to verify the time doors open for a specific Judson’s Live performance.

Dr. Philip Phillips & Dr. Phillips Charities

The arts center was named for Dr. Philip Phillips through a gift from Dr. Phillips Charities. After moving to Central Florida in 1894, Dr. P. Phillips became synonymous with Orlando’s forward momentum. He established the world’s largest citrus operation, led the development of Orange County’s first industrial park and designed the area’s first planned residential community. His legacy culminated in the establishment of Dr. Phillips Charities—comprised of The Dr. P. Phillips Foundation and Dr. Phillips Inc.

Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts

We are a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Like Dr. Philip Phillips and his wife Della hosted music recitals at their home we, too, invite guests from all over to enjoy the arts in the heart of Orlando. The Phillips family opened their doors to local musicians and nationally renowned artists alike, just as we do today.

Elevators

Several elevators are on the north and south sides of the Harvey & Carol Massey Family Grand Staircase. The north elevator closest to the rotunda can access Kessler Tier and the rooftop terrace.

Emergency Evacuation 

In an emergency, guests should make their way to the closest exit unless otherwise advised by a Dr. Phillips Center colleague.

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

An Orlando Fire Department EMT is on-site for some shows and events, ready to respond in case of emergency.

Event Rentals

Our multi-purpose spaces are available to rent for private events, corporate events, galas, weddings and more.Theaters are available for productions and private events. drphillipscenter.org/rentals

Evolv

Our contactless security system allows for faster, more sophisticated security screenings as guests enter the 
lobby. Evolv differentiates between commonly carried devices, like phones, and concealed weapons—allowing guests to enter without the need for a pat down or bag search. Guests with medical devices should ask a security team member for an alternative screening process.

Exchange Policy

All sales are final. We are unable to offer refunds or exchanges, with the exception of Broadway subscriber season ticket holders.

Family Restrooms 

These are available on every tier on the far north and south sides of the building. Changing tables are also available in family restrooms on all tiers.

Firearms/Concealed Weapons Policy

Firearms or weapons with or without a permit are not allowed at Dr. Phillips Center. Guests arriving with a firearm or weapon, including knives and pepper spray/chemical spray, will be instructed to return the weapon to their vehicles. Dr. Phillips Center does not have a weapons check-in and will not take possession of firearms or weapons under any circumstances. The only people allowed to bring firearms into the arts center are active or retired credentialed local, state and federal law enforcement officers.

First Aid

Guests should contact the closest Dr. Phillips Center colleague for assistance. The AdventHealth First Aid Station is across from the concierge desk on tier 1. Medicine cannot be dispensed here. Sharps containers can be found at the first aid station.

Food & Drinks

There are a variety of snacks, coffee drinks, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. At any bar, guests can 
pre-order for intermission and pick up from the same bar. Some products may only be available at select locations. Bars are located on every tier and open 1.5 hours before most shows in Walt Disney Theater and Steinmetz Hall, or 1 hour before most shows in Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater. Drinks and food are allowed in the theaters. Judson’s Live serves its own menu of food and beverages during its shows and special events. Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the arts center.

To buy alcohol, state or federal issued photo ID with date of birth is required for all guests appearing under the age of 21. Bars will stop serving alcohol after the intermission of a Broadway show or 30 minutes before the scheduled end time of a performance. Guests are not allowed to take any drinks outside the arts center. For outdoor events, drinks are not allowed outside event boundaries.

Four Counts & Quarter Notes & Eighth Notes

The Four Counts and Quarter Notes and Eighth Notes are performance ensembles supported by AdventHealth. They represent Dr. Phillips Center throughout the community and enjoy access to professional musical theatre training. The Four Counts are ages 14-18, The Quarter Notes are ages 11–14, and the Eighth Notes are ages 8-11.

Gift Certificates/Gift Cards

Guests can buy online, over the phone or in person at the Bill & Mary Darden Box Office. Gift certificates can be used for Dr. Phillips Center ticketed shows, semester classes, summer camps or donations. We’re

Great Orchestra Series

Set in our beloved Steinmetz Hall, this popular classical music series debuted with the Great American Orchestra Series in 2022, celebrating our most acoustically remarkable performance space. Today, it continues with a yearly selection of performances by some of the greatest and most celebrated orchestras in the world. Harriett’s Ladies Lounge

A gift from Harriett Lake, this iconic women’s restroom is behind the Harvey & Carol Massey Family Grand Staircase on tier 1. Harriett’s favorite color was pink, so some personally approved features include chandeliers with crystal droplets and pink accents.

Harvey & Carol Massey Family Grand Staircase

When you enter our front doors, this is the most sought-after spot for photos with friends and family. Philanthropists and community leaders Harvey and Carol Massey named the staircase to honor their family.

There are many options within walking distance of Dr. Phillips Center, including Grand Bohemian Hotel Orlando, Embassy Suites Orlando Downtown, Aloft and AC Hotel by Marriott.

Jim Pugh Relief Sculpture

Created by world-renowned sculptor Paul Day, this bronze relief sculpture entitled “The Promise – Arts For Every Life®” celebrates the vision and dedication of Chairman Emeritus Jim Pugh, who guided the arts center from concept to reality from 2003 to 2022. It is on display in the Della Phillips Grand Lobby. Generous support for the art piece was made possible by Jan & Neal Dempsey, with additional support from Valeria & Jim Shapiro and Bill Forness.

Judson’s Live

An intimate, table-style music room designed for unique events and discovering new artists. Seating 144 people, Judson’s Live delivers unparalleled sound with exceptional music of all styles, plus a stellar selection of small plates and signature cocktails. Named for the generous support of Joyce and Judson Green. Door opening times, number of performances per night and show start times vary. K

Kessler Tier

This tier 5 area overlooks the wave wall and it’s mainly used for events. It’s accessible from the north elevator and the Harvey & Carol Massey Family Grand Staircase. Named by Martha and Richard Kessler.

L

Late Seating Policy

Latecomers and those who leave during a show may not be admitted into the theater until an appropriate interval, based on the production’s request. Guests may watch the show from the door or lobby monitors until late seating is permitted. No refunds or exchanges will be issued for latecomers.

Leonard & Marjorie Williams Stage Door

Located at 155 East Anderson Street, this services backstage areas, administrative offices and our AdventHealth School of the Arts. The door is operated by security at all hours. Guests must sign in at security, where they’ll go through our Evolv system and receive a badge to wear visibly throughout their visit. Badges should be returned to security when guests leave. Named by Leonard Williams to honor his late wife Marjorie.

Lifts

In Walt Disney Theater, wheelchair lifts servicing the orchestra terrace via doors 3 and 4 (row ZZ) are semi-enclosed, 39” x 54”. Lifts servicing boxes 3, 4, 9 and 10 via doors 5 and 6 are fully enclosed, 36” x 48”. 
In Steinmetz Hall, lifts are semi-enclosed. The lift servicing the grand tier by doors 2 and 4 is 42” x 60”. Lifts servicing the center tier via door 5 and upper tier via door 7 are 36” x 48”.

Lights Flashing

A visual signal indicates ten, five and two minutes until the start of a show or the start of act two. These lights are accompanied by chimes.

Loading Dock

Located behind the theaters, off South Rosalind Avenue, this is used for loading and unloading set and event pieces, and catering. It’s also an entrance for colleagues.

Lost & Found

This is at the concierge desk behind the Harvey & Carol Massey Family Grand Staircase. Each evening, items are turned over to security at the Leonard & Marjorie Williams Stage Door, where they’re logged and held for 30 days. lostandfound@drphillpscenter.org 

Lost Tickets Policy

If guests lose or misplace tickets, they can call the Bill & Mary Darden Box Office during business hours or visit in person two hours before a performance. The box office will confirm seating and have reprinted tickets waiting at Will Call. For security purposes, reprinted tickets cannot be mailed or exchanged, and are only distributed the day of the performance. 407.358.6603 option 1

Luminary Members

Dr. Phillips Center annual luminary members support our vision, Arts For Every Life®, and enjoy privileges like pre-sale access to shows. Luminary member status lasts 12 months from the time of donation, and giving levels start at $125 a year. drphillipscenter.org/luminary

Masterclasses

These are presented by a professional artist, often part of a Broadway touring show. They usually take place from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on the Wednesday of the Broadway run. Prices vary, and when a master class is available, guests can sign up online. drphillipscenter.org/masterclasses

Media

Media may not enter the arts center without previous written consent, and must be escorted by a Dr. Phillips Center colleague. Members of the media should request access for interviews or filming prior to arriving on site.

Methods of Payment

We are a cashless venue. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover. Digital payment options like Apple Pay or Google Pay are available for food and drink purchases.

Name a Seat

Guests can support Arts For Every Life® by naming one (or more) of the seats in Walt Disney Theater and Steinmetz Hall. Photo & Video Policy

Unless otherwise specified by the show, guests may not use audio and video recorders, cell phones, tablets, cameras with detachable lenses larger than 6”, tripods, monopods or selfie sticks. Curtains, sets, costumes, scenery, lighting designs and other production elements are considered intellectual property and may be copyrighted. Any unpermitted use of a device by a guest may result in the guest being asked to leave before the end of the performance.

Pre-Ordering Food & Drink for Intermission

Snacks and drinks may be pre-ordered at any bar for all Broadway shows and most shows with an intermission. Guests must pay at the time of pre-ordering and pick up at the same location. Pre-ordering is only available for shows with an intermission.

Pre-Purchase Parking or Valet

Based on availability, this can be done online or over the phone through the Bill & Mary Darden Box Office. Guests need to print their parking pass or present a digital parking pass to a valet attendant upon arrival. 407.358.6603 option 1

Prohibited Items

For safety reasons, guests may be refused entry to the arts center if they are in possession of prohibited items including, but not limited to, weapons of any kind—including firearms (with or without a permit) knives and sharp-edged objects; mace and pepper spray; illegal drugs; items with indecent or derogatory messaging; flasks, coolers and outside food and beverages; distracting items—including laser pointers, noisemakers, amplifiers, balloons, signs on sticks and signs larger than 8.5” x 11”; face paint, costume masks and wrapped gifts; unauthorized handbills, giveaways, samples and verbal solicitation; audio and video recorders, tablets, cameras with detachable lenses larger than 6”, tri-pods, mono-pods and selfie sticks; pets, except ADA defined service animals; and any other items deemed by Dr. Phillips Center as dangerous, illegal or detrimental to others enjoying the experience. 

Additionally, these items are prohibited from events outside, including on Seneff Arts Plaza: glass containers, drones, distracting items—including fireworks, laser pointers, noisemakers, amplifiers, balloons, signs on sticks and signs and; skates, skateboards, bicycles and other recreational equipment; sport umbrellas, pop-up tents and instant canopies; and any other items deemed by Dr. Phillips Center as dangerous, illegal or detrimental to others enjoying the experience. Commercial, obscene or disturbing signs and banners are prohibited. Fastening banners and signs in or around Dr. Phillips Center is prohibited. Dr. Phillips Center reserves the right to remove any sign or banner. 

Prohibited items may be either disposed of in the trash or returned to the guest’s vehicle. Dr. Phillips Center reserves the right to confiscate any prohibited items and/or escort the guest from the building.

Re-entry

Guests may ask an usher for the show’s re-entry policy when they arrive—but unless otherwise noted, the policy is no re-entry. Guests should keep their ticket on them at all times.

Rideshare

The Uber and Lyft rideshare drop-off/pickup area is located at the side of the building at 155 E. Anderson Street.

Rooftop Terrace

This outdoor area is mainly an event space connected to Kessler Tier. It’s accessible by the north elevator closest to the rotunda.

Rush Tickets

These are discounted tickets offered by select shows to qualifying groups such as student, military or veterans, and are available on a first-come first-serve basis. On the day of the show, two hours before curtain, rush tickets may be offered in person at the Bill & Mary Darden Box Office.

A valid ID is required. This discount is not valid with other discounts. Tickets already purchased for qualifying events may not be exchanged or refunded. Rush tickets are announced on our social media channels.

Safety & Security

For any safety concerns during a show, contact a Dr. Phillips Center colleague immediately. Please operate by the standard “see something, say something.” Security is present at all shows. Every guest entering the arts center is subject to security screening. Any guest needing security should request help from a Dr. Phillips Center colleague or at the concierge desk. 407.992.1777

Seneff Arts Plaza

Of the three outdoor parcels in front of our building, this space is the center one, leading up to our front doors. Named for Jim Seneff, founder and chairman of CNL Bank, and his family.

Sensory-Friendly

We offer access to fidget toys and sensory headphones, in adult and children’s sizes, at no cost. Guests may claim a set of headphones or a fidget toy by visiting our concierge desk. Guests may also access one of our quiet rooms, located in Walt Disney Theater and Steinmetz Hall, where the volume can be adjusted.

Sign Language

Guests requiring sign language interpretation should submit a request at least two weeks before the show by emailing accessible@drphillipscenter.org.

Smoking

In compliance with local and state laws, Dr. Phillips Center is a smoke-free facility. Guests are prohibited from smoking anywhere inside the arts center and within 25 feet of any door. Smoking is prohibited—including alternative smoking devices such as electronic and/or vapor. A designated outdoor smoking area is across Magnolia Avenue on Seneff Arts Plaza, or on the corner of South Street and Magnolia Avenue, if the plaza is in use.

Steinmetz Hall 

Groundbreaking was in March 2017 and it opened in January 2022. As both a cultural and architectural 
achievement, it’s designed to transform in shape, seating and acoustics for a variety of shows, with or without amplification. Various configurations can accommodate up to1,741 seats. Named for the generous gift of Chuck and Margery Pabst Steinmetz.

Talkbacks

Moderated by a Dr. Phillips Center colleague, these are opportunities for guests to interact with Broadway company members. They usually take place after one of our evening Broadways performances, but guests should read their Know Before You Go email and check our social media accounts for updated details. To participate, guests should re-enter the theater through door 1 at the orchestra level.

Teen Ambassadors

Our immersive program offers unique exposure to a variety of opportunities that exist beyond the stage. Teen Ambassadors can take behind-the-scenes tours, shadow professionals at the arts center and engage with our wide variety of programming. They may also represent us during some of our events and community outreach initiatives. The program is supported by AdventHealth. drphillipscenter.org/teenambassadors

Walt Disney Theater and Steinmetz Hall doors are even-numbered to the right of the stage and odd-numbered to the left.

Theater Conduct

Theater etiquette is generally accepted guest behavior observed by theaters around the world for all guests’ maximum enjoyment. Expected behavior includes remaining quiet during a show and refraining from cell phone use, including texting. Noisemakers of any type are prohibited.

Guests using foul language or appearing intoxicated may be escorted from the theater. Guests who engage in inappropriate behavior will be removed from the theater. Guests wearing obscene or indecent clothing will be denied entry. Shirts, shoes and bottoms must be worn at all times. Guests are encouraged to report any inappropriate behavior to the nearest usher, security guard or Dr. Phillips Center colleague. Guests who choose not to adhere to appropriate behavior will be subject to ejection without refund and revocation of future tickets, and may also be in violation of city ordinances resulting in possible arrest and prosecution.

Ticket Buying

Guests can buy tickets online, over the phone or by visiting the Bill & Mary Darden Box Office at 445 South Magnolia Avenue. Online and phone purchases include handling fees. There are no refunds or exchanges, with the exception of Broadway subscriber season ticket holders. Tickets purchased from a third party do not guarantee entry. Ticket Policy

Children under two years old are not allowed in the theaters unless otherwise noted, or if the performance is advertised as a family show. All guests entering require a ticket — including infants and children, if allowed. Prices, shows, artists, dates and times are subject to change at any time without notice. Tickets purchased from a third party do not guarantee entry. Dr. Phillips Center has the right to refuse admission and reject any ticket that has been issued by a third-party source. There are no refunds or exchanges, with the exception of Broadway subscriber season ticket holders. For qualifying shows, ticket insurance through Dr. Phillips Center may be available for purchase.

Transfer Tickets

Tickets can be transferred to another guest via email, SMS or social media. To do so, select “Share Tickets” on the digital ticket. Guests will then be prompted to select a transfer option, select which seats to transfer, add name of the recipient and choose share options available with a transfer link. The recipient must have or sign up for a Dr. Phillips Center Digital Wallet account to access the tickets.

Walt Disney Theater

Featuring 2,700 seats and a design inspired by classical outdoor venues, this is the arts center’s largest theater. Famously hosting Broadway shows along with a variety of other genres, Walt Disney Theater is used for large, amplified shows. Named for a gift from Walt Disney World Resort.

Water Fountains

These are located by Harriett’s Ladies Lounge in Della Phillips Grand Lobby and on every tier near the 
men’s restrooms.

Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the arts center, theaters and on Seneff Arts Plaza.

Will Call

This window is next to the main entrance of Dr. Phillips Center at the Bill & Mary Darden Box Office—445 South Magnolia Avenue. It is open two hours before shows and until they begin. Photo ID is required to pick up tickets.

Wheelchairs

Courtesy wheelchairs are available at the concierge desk on a first-come, first-served basis. They’re for transportation only. Guests traveling in wheelchairs may take them as close to their ticketed seat as possible, but they’re not permitted to keep them during their show. An usher will secure the wheelchair during the show.
