UPLIFTING COMMUNITIES
THROUGH CREATIVITY
From the transformative power of music and comedy to the mind-body connection of movement and dance, Dr. Phillips Center leads the way in developing Arts & Wellness experiences that meaningfully unite communities and measurably improve people’s lives. Through pioneering work with healthcare partners, the arts center provides free wellness-enhancing programs to a broad range of patient and community populations. Fostering core principles like joy, belonging and purpose, these initiatives are just the first step toward a new meaning of well-being.
Veterans Program
Launched in 2024, Dr. Phillips Center’s Arts & Wellness initiative in partnership with the Orlando VA Healthcare System in Lake Nona offers a supportive space for veterans and caregivers to explore creativity, connection and healing through the arts. To date, over 50 veterans have participated in drum circle, choir, improv and spoken word poetry workshops.
STROKESTRA®
Dr. Phillips Center’s STROKESTRA® gives stroke survivors a space to build confidence, find joy and connect with others through music. Developed in partnership with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, this program combines group music-making with therapeutic techniques, guided by professional musicians and AdventHealth’s Rehab and Music Therapy team.
