Donor Spotlight: Stan and Naomi Loomis

Donor Spotlight:
Stan and Naomi Loomis

Turning a passion for the arts into meaningful community impact

Stan Loomis and Naomi Loomis may be new donors at Dr. Phillips Center, but their connection to the arts has been building for years.

For Naomi, it began in middle school, when she volunteered to run lights and sound for her school talent show. That behind-the-scenes experience sparked a lifelong connection to the arts and it stuck with her ever since.

After Stan and Naomi met, that passion soon became shared. The couple started traveling to New York to catch Broadway shows and before long, Stan found himself just as inspired. “We find the arts a great way to spend time together as a family,” Stan shared.

Their experiences eventually led them closer to home. In 2025, they attended Jerry Seinfeld live at Dr. Phillips Center — a full-circle moment for Naomi. “That was surreal. Back in college, the only time I’d really take a break from studying was to watch Jerry,” she said. “It’s exciting to watch Orlando grow into the kind of city that draws performers like him.”

As they learned more about the art center’s work beyond the stage, their appreciation deepened. “We were inspired by the art center’s commitment to giving back,” Stan shared. “There are so many initiatives that bring people together and strengthen the community through the arts.”

For Naomi, supporting young people stands out most. “Theatre gives children a creative outlet; the arts build confidence, character and the chance to step into entirely new worlds. The arts should be for everyone — Dr. Phillips Center makes that possible and we love being part of that.”

You’ll often find the couple at Judson’s Live, their favorite spot. They love the intimate atmosphere and how it supports both emerging and international artists, creating space for creativity to thrive at every level.

Looking ahead, Stan and Naomi are excited about what’s to come. “As Dr. Phillips Center grows, that means even more ways to bring people together and create new opportunities for artists and the community,” they shared.

We’re thrilled to welcome Stan and Naomi to our donor family of more than 23,000 supporters — joining the visionaries who help shape the future of Dr. Phillips Center and ensure the arts remain accessible for generations to come.
