Dr. Phillips Center Launches “The Great Recital Series” in Steinmetz Hall, Showcasing Classical Music Icons
Orlando, FL – Dr. Phillips Center is excited to launch The Great Recital Series—a new experience set in Steinmetz Hall. This series will shine a spotlight on four of today’s most celebrated classical soloists, offering audiences a rare chance to experience world-class artistry in one of the world’s acoustically perfect spaces.
The series will open with the Orlando debut of GRAMMY® Award-winning violinist Augustin Hadelich on November 5, 2025. Recognized globally for his expressive depth, Hadelich regularly performs with the world’s top orchestras, including the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonic.
Kicking off the new year, iconic soprano Renée Fleming will take the stage on January 20, 2026 with Voice of Nature—a deeply moving program inspired by her Grammy-winning album. The performance will be accompanied by an original film created in collaboration with the National Geographic Society.
The recital series concludes with two of today’s most electrifying pianists. Alexander Malofeev rose to international fame after winning the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians at just 13 years old. Seong-Jin Cho, a laureate of the prestigious International Chopin Piano Competition, will bring a blend of poetry to the stage.
“It’s exciting to see just how much our community loves classical music,” said Foster Cronin, vice president of programming and education at Dr. Phillips Center. “After two sold-out seasons of The Great Orchestra Series, we’re answering that enthusiasm with The Great Recital Series—another way the arts center is bringing more of what people love to Central Florida.”
