Since Dr. Phillips Center opened its doors in 2014, hundreds of thousands of guests each year have come to enjoy thousands of performances, events and arts & wellness initiatives embodying our vision of Arts For Every Life®.

But we get it – sometimes visiting a performing arts center can be a daunting prospect, whether you’re a first-time guest or just here to see something new. Because each visit to the arts center is as unique as the person who visits, we’ve created a quick guide to help you have a memorable and seamless experience, whatever the scenario. And remember, while the main event is the performance, guests are always welcome to arrive early to enjoy our full array of offerings.

What shows come to Dr. Phillips Center?

The arts center hosts Broadway shows, world-renowned orchestras, local theater productions, TikTok stars, variety troupes, Pulitzer-winning authors and so much more. The diversity of genres offers unique experiences that are fit for any guest or group. Whether you're planning a family outing, celebration, girls' night out, date night or a visit just for fun, the arts center has something for everyone. In the past, audiences have had the opportunity to witness incredible performers like Diana Ross with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in Steinmetz Hall, comedy giants Steve Martin & Martin Short in Walt Disney Theater and toddler-favorite Bluey in Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater.

At Judson’s Live, our newest venue, guests can experience local and visiting artists, special events like wine tastings and even unique improv comedy showcases, all while enjoying a delicious tapas-style menu with a large selection of wine and spirits.

The best way to be the first to know is to subscribe to our email list for the latest news on upcoming performances, on-sale dates, special offers, events and announcements. You can also follow us on social media for more updates throughout the season.

How do I purchase tickets?

  • Online: The quickest way to buy tickets is through our website, where you can browse upcoming shows and events anytime.

  • By Phone: Contact our box office during call-in hours for tickets and questions.

  • In Person: Visit the Dr. Phillips Center Box Office during walk-up hours to make a purchase during operating hours.

How do I see my tickets once I make a purchase?

  • Digital/True Tickets: Log into your Dr. Phillips Center account on our website, or via the True Tickets platform (wallet.drphillipscenter.org) using your Dr. Phillips Center account details.

  • Print-at-Home: If you’ve opted for print-at-home tickets, after you receive your email confirmation, look out for a second email with your tickets as an attachment. Print these prior to arrival and bring them with you to the show.

  • Will Call: Visit will call at Dr. Phillips Center during operating hours to have your tickets printed. The ticket account’s owner must show their photo ID and the credit card originally used to buy the tickets.

Do you have pre-sale access for shows and events?

Yes! We provide pre-sale opportunities to members of our Luminary program. Additional benefits like valet parking or Donors’ Lane concession access are provided based on your subscription tier. Proceeds from your subscription support our vision of providing Arts For Every Life®.

Does Dr. Phillips Center offer group discounts?

Yes, group tickets are available for many shows at Dr. Phillips Center theaters including Judson’s Live. Group savings between 10–25% off are available, as well as payment plans.

Does Dr. Phillips Center offer Student Rush tickets for Broadway Shows?

Yes, Dr. Phillips Center offers discounted Rush tickets for select Broadway shows. Rush tickets are available to students and often other qualifying groups, such as veterans and teachers. A valid ID is required to purchase these tickets, and the discount cannot be combined with other offers. To stay updated on which shows offer Rush tickets and any specific restrictions, be sure to follow us on social media.

Where is Dr. Phillips Center?

Dr. Phillips Center is in the heart of downtown Orlando. Easily accessible from Florida’s east and west coasts and only minutes from Universal Orlando Resort™ and Walt Disney World® Resort.

Where is Judson’s Live?

Judson’s Live is located on South Street, near the corner of Rosalind Avenue. Its main entrance is located on East South Street, on the North side of the Dr. Phillips Center. If a performance is happening in one of our other theaters, Judson’s Live guests may enter through the front entrance of the building as well.

Is there parking near Dr. Phillips Center?

Parking is available downtown at locations including City Commons Parking Garage and 77 E. Jackson Street Garage. Hourly street parking is also available downtown.

It is recommended to purchase valet in advance. Reservations are available online when you buy a show ticket, or through the Darden Box Office (844.513.2014) up to 24 hours before a show.

ARRIVAL DETAILS

How early should I arrive at Dr. Phillips Center before showtime?

We encourage guests to arrive 45 minutes before showtime to ensure you can enjoy our lobby amenities. You’ll need ample time for ticket scanning, bag checks and finding your seat, as well.

Can I arrive late to a show?

Latecomers or guests who leave during a show may be allowed back in at an appropriate time, such as during a break between songs or acts. Re-entry policies vary by event, so please check in advance and keep your ticket with you at all times. Note that Dr. Phillips Center is unable to offer refunds or exchanges for late arrivals.

Below is the typical schedule for when doors open for each show. Note that lobby hours and door opening times may vary depending on the performance. Be sure to read our Know Before You Go email sent prior to the show, or check your ticket for the most updated information on door opening times.

Walt Disney Theater and Steinmetz Hall
Della Phillips Grand Lobby doors open 90 minutes before showtime, and theater doors open 30 minutes before showtime.

Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater
Della Phillips Grand Lobby doors open 1 hour before showtime, and theater doors open 30 minutes before showtime.

Judson’s Live
Lobby doors open and seating begins between 30-90 minutes before the performance, depending on showtime.

Is Dr. Phillips Center accessible?

The arts center offers accommodations such as wheelchair-accessible seating, mobility devices, elevators, hearing and vision support and sensory-friendly options. Accessible parking is available at nearby garages, and valet services cater to those with state-issued disabled parking permits. Additionally, the arts center is designated as a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC).

Are bags allowed inside Dr. Phillips Center?

Does Dr. Phillips Center have a dress code?

No, the arts center does not have a dress code. Some guests choose casual attire, like jeans, while others prefer more formal clothing. Ultimately, we want you to wear what feels comfortable for you.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Are food and drink available at Dr. Phillips Center?

Concessions are available in the Della Phillips Lobby for shows at Steinmetz Hall, Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater and Walt Disney Theater. Choose from a variety of gourmet snacks like chocolate-covered pretzels, house-baked cookies or a charcuterie box. Pair your snacks with a crafted cocktail, soft drink or an iced latte from our coffee bar.

Be sure to arrive early to relax and enjoy your goodies in one of our cozy seating areas or outdoor patios. Food and drinks are allowed in all venues, so feel free to bring your snacks and cocktails to your seat and enjoy them during the show.

Does Judson's Live have food and drinks?

Judson’s Live offers a carefully designed menu of tapas-style plates and crafted cocktails available for purchase during each performance. Ticketed guests can enjoy shareable bites like flatbreads, charcuterie boards, delicate desserts and more.

What restaurants are located near Dr. Phillips Center?

Dr. Phillips Center is in downtown Orlando, surrounded by a variety of dining options, from casual fare to fine dining. Most restaurants and lounges are about a 5-10 minute walk from the arts center.

To help plan your visit, check walking directions, parking options and restaurant hours. And be sure to let your server know you're attending a show—this will help ensure you have enough time to get to the arts center.
