Ticket Lottery at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts

TICKET LOTTERY

ABOUT THE TICKET LOTTERY

The Dr. Phillips Center Ticket Lottery gives you a shot at deeply discounted seats to select performances, no advance purchase required and no strings attached. Every eligible show runs its own drawing: enter for the dates that work for you, and if you're picked, we'll let you know in time to grab your seats before curtain. It's the same lottery model Broadway has used for years, now on our stages.

Didn't win today? Enter again. There's no limit on how often you can try, and no penalty for losing.

HOW IT WORKS

HOW THE TICKET LOTTERY WORKS

  1. Sign Up: Create a free account. Takes less than a minute, and one account covers every show running a lottery.
  2. Pick Your Show & Date: Choose any performance you're free for and tell us how many tickets you need. Enter for as many dates as you like, each one is a separate, equal shot.
  3. We Draw Winners: Drawings happen on a set schedule for each show (see the show page for exact times). Every entry has the same odds, there's no early-bird advantage.
  4. Claim Your Seats: Winners get an email and text with a short window to purchase online or by phone. Miss the window and the tickets go back into the pool for the next lucky name.

Ticket Lottery FAQ's

How does the ticket lottery work?

Each eligible performance gets its own drawing. Enter for free, and if your name is picked, you'll get a short window to purchase your tickets before they're released to the next winner. No purchase is required to enter, and there's no penalty if you don't win, you can just try again for the next date or show.

How do I enter the Ticket Lottery?

Go to the show page, select the performance date(s) you're available for, tell us how many tickets you'd like, and submit your entry. It takes less than a minute, and one entry can cover as many dates as you want.

Do I need a Dr. Phillips Center account?

Yes. A free account is required to enter, it's how we confirm your identity, notify you if you win, and verify you at pickup. If you don't have one yet, you'll be prompted to create one as part of the entry process.

How will I know if I have been selected to purchase tickets?

Winners are notified by email and text with the contact information on their account, so make sure both are current before entering. To ensure you don't miss it, add info@drphillipscenter.org to your email address book or contacts:

  • Gmail: open the notification email, click the three-dot menu, and select "Add to Contacts list."
  • Outlook: right-click the sender's name and choose "Add to Outlook Contacts."
  • Apple Mail: tap the sender's name or email address at the top of the message and select "Add to Contacts."

This keeps our notifications from landing in your spam or promotions folders, where a short purchase window could pass before you see it.

Where can I find my tickets once I have purchased them?

Winning tickets are held at will call under the name on your account. Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID matching that name to the Bill & Mary Darden Box Office to pick them up before the performance.

Can I request ADA/accessibility accommodations?

Yes. When you enter, let us know about any accessibility needs (wheelchair seating, ASL interpretation, etc.) in the accommodations field. Our box office will follow up directly by email or phone to confirm your request before the drawing.

Where are my seats located?

Lottery seats are assigned by the box office within a designated discount section for each show. Your exact seat location will be included when you complete your purchase.

Can I share these tickets?

No. Tickets must be picked up by the account holder with matching photo ID, so they can't be transferred or picked up by someone else.

Can I enter for more than one show at a time?

Yes. One account can enter as many shows and performance dates as you'd like, each is scored as its own separate drawing, so entering for more doesn't hurt your odds on any single date.

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. By entering the Ticket Lottery, you agree to the full Ticket Lottery Official Rules that include eligibility, the entry and drawing process, prize terms, accessibility requests, and other conditions of participation. See the complete Official Rules here.
