About the show 

Celebrate 25 years of sacred steel royalty when Florida’s own Lee Boys reunite with former bandmate and prolific pedal steel guitarist Roosevelt Collier on our stage. 

The Lee Boys carry the torch for sacred steel, a gospel music tradition born in the Pentecostal churches of North Florida in the 1930s. They grew up in the church where their father was a pastor and a steel player himself. Over the past 25 years, The Lee Boys have released four albums, packed prestigious venues and spread their music and message beyond the church pews through residencies, recordings, television appearances and concerts around the world. They received the Florida Folk Heritage Award in 2022 for “their contributions that led to a greater appreciation and recognition of the importance of traditional arts and artists in our state.” 

Joining them on stage is former band member Roosevelt Collier the 4× Grammy-nominated pedal steel guitarist and the music director/bandleader for Jelly Roll. A frequent collaborator with Tedeschi Trucks Band, he has built a reputation for bringing the pedal steel out front as a true lead instrument.
