Dr. Phillips Center Generated $227.6 Million Annual Economic Impact for Central Florida in FY2025
Tourism Economics analysis highlights the arts center's role in supporting jobs, generating state and local tax revenue while attracting visitors from around the world.
Orlando, FL - Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts generated $227.6 million in annual economic impact, which supported 2,483 jobs and drove $13.2 million in state and local tax revenue, according to a newly released independent analysis by Tourism Economics. The findings reinforce the arts center’s role as both a world-class cultural destination and a significant economic driver of Central Florida.
Conducted by Tourism Economics, an Oxford Economics company specializing in economic impact and tourism analysis, the study measured the direct, indirect and induced economic activity generated by Dr. Phillips Center's operations, performances, visitors and related spending throughout the region.

Today, Dr. Phillips Center welcomes more than 910,000 guests annually, attracting visitors from all 50 states and more than 80 countries while presenting programming 99% of the year across venues that consistently operate between 82% and 97% capacity. Since opening in 2014, the arts center has welcomed more than 6.2 million guests to more than 6,200 performances and events, helping make downtown Orlando a premier destination for arts, culture and entertainment.
