Step onto the stage this Fall. At AdventHealth School of the Arts, students learn the craft of acting while building confidence, creativity, and friendships that last well beyond the final curtain.
Acting for Beginners!
Ages 6-8 | Tuesday, 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.
This playful and supportive class introduces young performers to the fundamentals of acting through fun and imaginative activities. Students will explore basic skills like using their voices and bodies to express emotions, working with others, and bringing simple characters and stories to life. Through improvisation, storytelling games, and short scene work, they’ll build confidence, focus, and creativity. The class will conclude with a lively showcase for friends and family, giving students a chance to shine on stage and share what they've learned.

ACTING: Commercials (Kids)
Ages 11–14 | Tuesday, 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.
This class gives actors a chance to work on exercises and gain confidence for acting in film and commercials. Develop your personalization skills, tackle challenging material, and perfect everything from the first "slate" (introduction) to virtual or in person callbacks. While the root of good acting technique remains the same from stage to screen, you will learn that the difference between acting for the stage and acting on camera is an adjustment to space. This acting class will help you understand and meet this challenge. This is an ideal class for the actor looking to hone their skills to make them a dynamic performer, whether on stage or screen.

Ages 13–17 | Tuesday, 6:05 p.m. - 7:35 p.m.

ACTING: All the World's a Stage
Ages 7-10 | Thursday, 6:35 p.m. - 7:35 p.m.
Hello world travelers! This exciting new class will take our students around the globe, exploring acting styles and different plays from across history and geography. You'll find yourself on the Elizabethan stage tackling the world's most famous playwright, William Shakespeare. or take a trip all the way back to Ancient Greece to portray gods, godesses, and heroes. Students will get a chance to take their family and friends back in time and around the world in the end of semester showcase.
