Based in New York City, soprano Yeawon Jun from Seoul, South Korea, has established herself as a versatile artist on the operatic stage. Her extensive repertoire includes leading roles such as Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Mimì and Musetta (La Bohème), Cunegonde (Candide), Nedda (I Pagliacci), Leïla (Les Pêcheurs de perles), Liù (Turandot), Suor Angelica, and Micaëla (Carmen).
In the 2026–27 season, Ms. Jun is thrilled to make her house debut with Opera Orlando, performing the title role in Puccini’s Madame Butterfly. Ms. Jun earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Yonsei University and a Professional Diploma (PDPL) from the Mannes School of Music under Diana Soviero. She recently completed her Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Voice Performance at Rutgers University under the tutelage of Professor Judith Nicosia.
