FOUR COUNTS
All singing, all dancing, all in high school. The Four Counts are an elite vocal performance group supported by AdventHealth. Ages 14–18 (high school students only), these talented young artists represent Dr. Phillips Center throughout Central Florida as they enjoy incredible access to professional training in musical theatre performance, discipline and technique.
Led by artistic director, Lauren Langa, the Four Counts participate in weekly rehearsal, special engagements, masterclasses with industry professionals and performance opportunities throughout the year.

Auditions & Callbacks
To audition for the Four Counts, please submit a pre-screen audition of a 32-bar cut (approximately 1 minute) from a musical theatre song as well as your headshot and resume to auditions@drphillipscenter.org.
- Please title your email "Four Counts Audition - First Name.Last Name" and include your grade, age and school in the body of your email.
- Videos should be submitted via Unlisted YouTube video, Vimeo or Google Drive link. We cannot accept videos as attachments and other formats cannot be accepted.
Submission Deadline: Sunday, August 16 by 11:59 p.m.
After your audition submission, you may receive a callback invite.
Four Counts Callbacks will be announced on Wednesday, August 19 by 11:59 p.m.
New Four Counts Callback Day: Sunday, August 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (by invitation only).
Rehearsal Schedule
Rehearsals for the Four Counts are held most Monday evenings (with the exception of holidays and some select dates) from 7–9 p.m. from September through June. There will be a final Showcase in May for friends and family.
Students MUST commit to the remaining scheduled season of rehearsals and performances from September to June, with varying performance dates and times to be determined.
All conflicts MUST be previously communicated and approved at least two weeks in advance.
Tuition
Participation fee for the Four Counts is $77.78 monthly ($700 in full).
Monthly payment plans are processed in 9 installments (September–May).

Artistic Director, Lauren Langa
Lauren Langa has been performing and teaching voice for over 20 years. She attended Florida State University where she majored in vocal performance and choral music education, and earned a master’s degree in vocal pedagogy from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey.
Each year, her high school students consistently earn spots in the country’s leading music programs such as Carnegie Mellon University, Florida State University, Penn State University, Shenandoah University, University of Michigan, Texas State University and many more! Additionally, many of her students have been selected as the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts’ Applause Awards representatives for the Jimmy Awards, including 2025 finalist Adam Bouchachia, and Sofia Deler who was named the national winner in 2017.
In addition to her high school students, her professional students can be seen on Broadway, TV and film in projects like The Prom (Netflix), the Tony Award-winning The Outsiders (Broadway), Stereophonic (Broadway), Kimberly Akimbo (Broadway and National Tour), SIX (Broadway and National Tour), Hadestown (National Tour), Hamilton (National Tour), and many others.
Lauren proudly serves on the voice faculty at Rollins College, as the voice consultant for Orlando Sings, music director and voice coach for Virgin Voyages Cruise line, and as an artistic director, music director and teaching artist for various projects at Dr. Phillips Center. She specializes not only in voice science and vocal teaching, but also in contemporary styles and extended techniques. Her broad range of expertise gives her the tools necessary in guiding her students’ paths through both college and professional music theatre auditions.
QUARTER NOTES
Warming-up to the world of musical theatre, the Quarter Notes are a select group of middle school students (ages 11–14) who also represent Dr. Phillips Center on the vocal performance front.
Receiving early access to elite professional training in music, acting and dance, these young artists take part in unique performance opportunities throughout the community under the leadership of artistic director Tim Hanes.

Artistic Director, Tim Hanes
Tim Hanes is the founder and artistic director of the Orlando Youth Theatre and creator of Orlando Kids on Stage. He also serves as musical director for Valencia Community College and is a freelance accompanist and vocal coach. Tim received the 2006 Presidential Scholar in the Arts’ Teacher Recognition Award.
Prior to Orlando, Tim served as Artist-in-Residence for the State of Tennessee. Under his direction, the Resurrection Children’s Choir was selected in 2009 and 2013 to perform at Carnegie Hall with the International Children’s Choir Festival. His choirs have performed eight times at the White House. Students of Mr. Hanes are working on Broadway, film and television.
EIGHTH NOTES
Designed for aspiring performers in grades 3 through 5 looking to build a strong foundation in musical theatre, this year-round performance group provides students with introductory to intermediate training in acting, singing, and dance while preparing them for future performance opportunities.
Students will develop essential musical theatre skills through weekly ensemble rehearsals, where they'll learn the importance of collaboration, storytelling, and stage presence while building confidence both on and off the stage. In addition to ensemble training, participants receive individualized coaching and feedback to strengthen their personal audition skills and artistic growth.
Throughout the year, students will have access to specialized opportunities including dance, voice, and acting classes, audition masterclasses, résumé and audition package development, mock auditions, and personalized coaching. Whether a student is stepping onto the stage for the first time or beginning to pursue more advanced opportunities, this program is designed to help each performer grow as both an individual artist and a valued member of an ensemble.

Artistic Director, Tatiana Bello
Tatiana Bello is the School of the Arts Manager at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, where she has proudly worked for the past nine years. Throughout her tenure, she has served in a variety of artistic and production leadership roles, including Assistant Director, Company Manager, Assistant Choreographer, and Stage Manager for productions such as Matilda, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Les Misérables, Frozen Jr., Ragtime, West Side Story, Schoolhouse Rock Live!, and Into the Woods. As a performer, her favorite credits include Chicago (Annie/Mama Morton u/s), Next to Normal (Natalie u/s), Legally Blonde, Aida, The Little Mermaid (Ursula), and Tarzan (Kala).
Tatiana is passionate about inspiring the next generation of performers by creating a supportive, engaging environment where students can grow in confidence, creativity, and stage presence. She is excited to welcome this year's young performers and looks forward to helping each of them discover the joy of musical theatre.
