PILOBOLUS @ PLAY RESIDENCY
PILOBOLUS @ PLAY RESIDENCY
Move. Create. Perform.
Internationally-acclaimed dance theater company Pilobolus is committed to creating collaboratively and finding beauty in unexpected places. This year, they return to the Dr. Phillips Center AdventHealth School of the Arts to bring their innovative creative process to high schoolers and deserving members of our community – including older adults and pre-professional performing arts students.
Over the course of this free weeklong workshop, participants learn the improvisation and movement creation skills that have made Pilobolus famous, working with company members to create an original piece. Through partnering, collaborative choreography and peer-to-peer feedback, the class stretches personal limits and cultivates creativity.
The week concludes with a final showcase for family, friends and the community in Alexis and Jim Pugh Theater.
