About the show
Every piece of music tells a story, and every performance creates a new one. Join the UCF Wind Ensemble and UCF Symphonic Band for Stories We Share, an evening of music that celebrates the experiences, traditions and connections that unite us. From the vibrant cultural rhythms of Dennis Llinás’s La Chancla and the energetic brilliance of Jan Van der Roost’s Flashing Winds to the timeless craftsmanship of Gustav Holst’s First Suite in E-flat and the heartfelt lyricism of Nicole Piunno’s Sunflower Studies and With Love and Grace, this concert explores the many ways music reflects our shared humanity. Featuring a special guest appearance by the Seminole High School Wind Ensemble, Stories We Share brings together musicians from across generations to celebrate the power of music to inspire, connect and tell the stories that define us all. Join us for an evening where every note becomes part of a story we share together.
