Ghalia Volt Band

About the show

Belgian-born blues-rock singer, guitarist, drummer and songwriter Ghalia Volt makes her Judson’s Live debut with a fiery blend of Hill Country blues, garage rock and roots music.

Now based in New Orleans, Ghalia got her start performing on the streets of Europe before making her mark on the American blues scene. Her 2023 album Shout Sister Shout! reached No. 2 on the Billboard Top Blues Albums chart, earning acclaim for her gritty vocals and scorching slide guitar.

Her latest album, Burn the House Down, teams her with acclaimed guitarist and producer JD Simo for a raw, high-energy sound. She’s performed at major festivals including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Mammoth Bluesapalooza and Telluride Blues. Now, Ghalia brings her hard-driving blues-rock to our intimate music lounge for an electrifying debut.
