About the show

Five-time Latin Grammy-winning mandolin virtuoso Hamilton de Holanda has revolutionized the sound of the 10-string instrument. He blends the infectious rhythms of Brazilian choro with jazz through his dazzling technique and fearless improvisation.

A child prodigy who performed on Brazilian national television at age six, Hamilton grew up immersed in the vibrant choro street jams of Brasília. His extraordinary musicianship has led to collaborations with legends Wynton Marsalis, Chick Corea and Milton Nascimento.

From the streets of Brasília to the world's biggest stages, Hamilton has thrilled audiences at the Montreux and Newport Jazz festivals, Rock in Rio and the 2016 Summer Olympics.
