ABOUT THE CONCERT
Become immersed in Beethoven’s beloved “Pastoral” Symphony No. 6, a groundbreaking work that paints vivid musical scenes of nature, countryside celebrations, flowing streams,and dramatic thunderstorms. Symphony No. 6remains one of the most innovative andemotionally transporting symphonies ever composed.
The concert also features a Florida premiere of John Williams’ Clarinet Concertoperformed by legendary Chicago Symphony Orchestra Principal Clarinetist John BruceYeh, whom the concerto was originally composed for.
Audience participation takes center stage as concertgoers vote live for the encoreperformance.
This Classics Series concert is also a part of this Season’s Resonate Festival, curated by Music Director Eric Jacobsen. Take part in a celebration of one of history’s greatestcomposers with concerts dedicated to Beethoven’s genius and influence on the classical canon.
